For about 30 years, Manlio has been active in the fields of corporate intelligence, corporate organisational strategies, personal data processing, and the prevention and combating of digital, economic and financial crime, both in the private and in the public sector. He teaches in university and master’s courses (over the years he has worked for the University of Padua, University of Rome Tor Vergata, LIMEC campus in Milan); he is a member of the BASC (Bicocca Applied Statistics Center) - Milano Bicocca University. He is registered as a court expert at several court offices and also in the register of technical consultants of the Italian Ministry of Justice. Accreditations: EDPB’s Support Pool of Experts; as an expert, Working group for artificial intelligence standardisation - Uninfo (part of UNI); Committee member ISO/IEC JTC; Senior Advisor of “Internazionalizzazione” of APRI International-Confprofessioni; Member of the President’s Committee of the National Board for Artificial Intelligence; Member of the scientific committee of Federprivacy.

Roberto works as a consultant in tax and corporate matters. He performs due diligence and tax planning. He carries out the valuation of business complexes as appointed expert in the context of business transfer and transformation operations. As advisor, he also assists groups of companies in corporate reorganisation processes, through extraordinary transactions and turnarounds. His extensive experience in insolvency proceedings and pre-crisis issues is an important asset for Orama. He is appointed by the Judicial Authority or by parties as a liquidator and as a technical consultant for the reconstruction of accounting records, and as a criminal expert specialising in corporate, bankruptcy and tax crimes.

He is a professional customs agent registered with the National Register since 2001, AEO certified, a member of the Study Commission "Export control, dual use, Embargo" of the National Council of Customs Agents and a member of the Customs & Trade Facilitation Commission of ICC Italy, registered in the Register of Experts and Specialists of the Novara Chamber of Commerce, an accredited Export Compliance Officer and lecturer for the EIFEC European Institute for Export Compliance Master's programme. Consultant and lecturer for various institutions, companies and business associations, he has gained significant experience with particular regard to strategic planning for international trade, with reference to the classification, origin and value of goods at customs, restrictive foreign trade regulations, specialising in Trade Compliance, as well as with regard to the tax aspects of sales and purchase transactions in the European Union and third countries.
